Why do we need GREAT SPORTS
NUTRITION? It’s simple. Most athletes train hard. If you train hard
you need to recover! Without recovery, you will never see the
benefits of all that hard work. In fact, many athletes de-condition
and even suffer from the effects of over-training because they do
not recover fully between sessions. For more information on
recovery, download The Art of Recovery or
Optimal Recovery in the resource pages.
Many athletes know the
importance of pre-competition nutrition. If you don’t eat well, you
can’t expect to perform well. It’s ironic though that so many
athletes don’t give the same attention to hard training sessions.
It’s also ironic that so many athletes don’t know what the best
balance of nutrients is for their body. Getting the balance wrong
means that we cannot produce optimal energy! For more information,
read ‘How do we produce energy’ in the Science of CSD Sport page.
